When on holidays or traveling the last place you want to be is stuck at the airport waiting for a ride to your hotel or accommodation. Whilst modern airports, such as the Gold Coasts, offer modern facilities and a range of transfer services it is often found that peak times and peak season demands can stretch these services seeing long waiting cues and frustrated passengers.
This is not a great start to the holiday, particularly if you have not been to the city before which adds another layer of anxiety. It just doesn’t need to be that way; just like you plan and book the flight it is also best to do the same for the transfer to your destination. Planning ahead can remove the anxiety and make the start of your trip an enjoyable experience.
There are a number of options available for pre-booked airport transfers which include:
Shuttle buses – Some shuttle services take you straight to your door and others use central drop off points. Some downsides are that you may have a long ride with multiple stops as they drop off at all the destinations. Although some see this as a great way to see a little of the area and meet others traveling the same way.
Limousine services – there are many companies that provide transfer services via a range of vehicle options to suit your needs. Whether there is only one person or large groups of people, the limousine service can tailor a service to suit. This method takes you direct to your door, and the driver, who meets you at the airport lounge and assists with your luggage, is dedicated to your needs. Prices can be surprisingly competitive, particularly for group travel.
Airport Transfer Tips:
When booking your transfer let the operator know exactly who and what will be arriving for transfer. If you have surfboards, fishing rods or something of the like let the operator know so they can arrange the right vehicle.
The operator will want to know how many passengers and age of passengers, by law in many regions children under a certain age are required to use baby seats which can be supplied by arrangement. They can also make special arrangements for large amounts of luggage including trailers or luggage cars.
Also when booking, let the operator know your arriving flight number so if the flight is delayed, or early, they can ensure that there is someone to meet you when you arrive. Also carry the company’s name and contact number with you.
Plan ahead by pre-booking your airport transfers and start your next trip or holiday relaxed and hassle free.
